Cycle for Green Kilimanjaro is a results-oriented conservation initiative that integrates cycling-led environmental advocacy, ecosystem restoration, and community-driven climate action around Mount Kilimanjaro.
The Kilimanjaro ecosystem is under increasing pressure from deforestation, land degradation, and climate change—largely driven by dependence on biomass energy, population growth, and limited long-term conservation financing. While tourism remains a major economic driver, its potential to fund sustained environmental restoration has not been fully realized.
